Private Tuition: Richard Rogers English Tutor - Oxford

: I'm a qualified teacher with more than 25 years' teaching experience. I graduated from University College London with a degree in English Language and Literature, then took a postgraduate certificate in education from The Institute of Education, University of London, to qualify as a secondary school and further education English teacher. I also have EFL qualifications and have been joint chief assessor for the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, assessing teacher training courses both in this country and abroad. I was also head of teacher training at a local Oxford private school.
I teach English (language and literature) at Key Stage 2 and 3 and below, 11+ Common Entrance exam (including specific preparation for Magdalen College School entrance), GCSE, A Level and first year undergraduate levels, and have spend a lot of time helping students with revision for exams and re-sits. My two children did GCSE and A2 Level exams last summer, so I am aware at first hand, personally as well as professionally, the stress that exams can cause.
I have a valid, up-to-date CRB certificate.
I normally work from home. I can travel if it's not practicable for the student to come to me, but would have to charge a little more for travelling expenses, depending on distance.
